The first time we went to spice temple was the month it opened and I must say we did not enjoy it. The food was too spicy and the service shocking. However since then we have been twice over the past 6 months and the food has been great each time. We tried a few different dishes this time but had to repeat some of the ones we really liked. The stir fried lamb in bread pockets and the shredded chicken with garlic. We have a new favorite this time though - the stir fried quail and peanuts with steamed egg custard. The variety in textures in this dish of the spicy, crunchy and creamy was amazing. A must try dish in my books. If you stay away from some of the really spicy dishes - you cant go wrong at spice temple and I was surprised that it has not been as expensive as I would have thought a Neil Perry restaurant would be.
Fried squid with whole five spice and dark chili paste. I found the dish too dry and must say my fav fried squid dish is still the one at china doll
