Azafran - Mendoza
When you look up dining in Mendoza, every website and blog says you have
to go to Azafran. It seems to rate as the best place to dine in Mendoza.
The restaurant is very low key, rustic looking and has an amazing wine
celler. The sommelier is extremely helpful and it is well worth picking
your bottle of wine for the night and then planning your meal around it.
Chef Pablo Raena adds modern twists on argentian cuisine and does a
great job. Every dish was great and Pablo was really friendly and talked
us through the dishes himself. Yes - definitely a must when in Mendoza.
We had a great Peidra Negra 2003 Malbec from uco valley on the night.
